It's November and it's flying by....

Where does the time go? I have been busy as usual but trying to slow down and de-stress and just relax a little. Had my multi-vendor open house the first Sat in November. Did not have a good turn-out but it was fun and it was a good opportunity to set up my table displays for both Tupperware and my scrapbooking stuff.
I have mostly been busy making Christmas card packs to sell and a few sewn page layouts.
I have started work on my mom's scrapbook. It a large undertaking. Probalby going to be a 40 page project. That's my best estimate at this point. I have all the pages already done. Now, I have got to get the pictures all re-printed. I tried getting them done at and they wouldn't do some of the pictures because of copyright issues. Ugh. So, I will have to break down and buy some more ink for my Epson printer and print them myself. I guess I have procrastinated long enough on buying the ink.
I got an order to make 4 "You-nique" page layouts for a friend of mine who came to the open house and saw my layout of Faith. I will have to post these all to see when I get them all done.
I just had my 42 birthday and got Adobe Photoshop Elements. I am so excited to see what I can do with this program. I am working on some flipbooks to put on my website. I will let you know when they are on it.

What have I been up to!

I got this idea from my up-line while at her house. I just love the thought of using one 12x12 paper to make this little book and a few scraps/stamps or stickers to decorate it. I am going to add this to my list of workshops to do. I think I will go ahead and do a Halloween brag book workshop. I just finished one for Christmas as well. Going to try making a bunch of them for a craft fair I am going to do at the beginning of December. This is a real craft fair as opposed to the other fairs I did which were just any business fairs.
I have got several other scrapbooks in the works. I started a 6x6 book for my cats. Started a heritage 8x8 for my grandparents, an 8x8 book for Renessaince Festival pictures, a Thanksgiving 6x6 book and an 8x8 Christmas book. Plus, I just got more pictures from the last part of 2005 so I am getting some scrapbook pages done and decided to do a whole book for my cruise/40th birthday pictures. It needed it's own book! I am trying to do that with my consistency formula so I can get it done rather than do every page differently. It's a little more challenging doing it with the 12x12 size but so far it's looking good. I will post pictures when I get it done along with my other smaller books. My mom is going to be here next week and is bringing a bunch of pictures of me and my brother and sister. I get to scrapbook for her and she will pay me. Woohooooo! I just love scrapbooking!!! :)

Christmas is just around the corner, Really!

Before we know it, Christmas will be here. So, I have started the gift and card making countdown. I ordered the Vintage Christmas collection and the Amelia collection to play around with. I am really liking the results of my experimentation. I've got a couple of ideas I am going to be working on in terms of homemade gifts. I will have to show you what I come up with when I get something done.
I traded a 6x6 custom-made scrapbook for a hair cut and chin wax. You don't know how excited that makes me! I manage to get my hair cut maybe twice a year. It's just one of those self-sacrificing things I do to try to keep under budget which we never manage to do but at least we try. Shelly, my new hairstylist, is going to keep me looking good and hair free on the chin and I will be going through and start working on more scrapbooks for her. The first one was of pictures of her baby daughter for a brag book for grandparents that haven't seen her yet. It came out so cute. I love doing the girly books.
If you know anyone that wants a scrapbook made, tell them to give me a holler. I am willing to trade for other services/products depending on what they are, of course. Not going to trade for something I don't need or want. Duh!
I did a premade scrapbook for a donation for the Gleneagle's Women's Club. It's for their silent auction for the Wine and Roses fundraiser.
Still working on getting the premade scrapbooks I have done on ebay. Got the mailing stuff figured out so just have to get with Nathan to get it posted on ebay.

Scrapbook layouts with Cha Cha!

I made 3 scrapbook layouts with the Cha Cha Soar With It collection. I love how they turned out. I am working on some cards with the leftovers and will post some of those later.
My back got severely sunburned on Monday and so I have been in misery all week. The pain is much better but the intense itching is starting. I will be doing a scrapbook page to remind me of the absolute importance of sunscreen. It will be titled "Aloe, Advil and Aveeno". Ahhh. itchy!!!!

I love making theme albums!

Oh my gosh, it's like the best kept secret. Creating a theme album is so much quicker and easier then a traditional cronilogical album. Although, you do have to have enough pictures to go into a theme album. I originally planned on a couple of Hello Kitty 12x12 layouts of my daughter, Faith's 4th birthday party but instead I took the papers I had and added a couple coordinating cardstock colors and presto a 6x6 album done in just under 2 hours.
You really have to come to my "How to make a theme album in 4 hours or less"workshop! Okay, so I am going to attempt to get some pictures of this album up on this blog. Wish me luck!

Video not happening. Need more research!

Not sure what I am doing with the video. I guess I will have to research this further. I did add a picture of a 4th of July scrapbook that is for sale. It's 6x6 with 20 pages. You just need to crop and add your pictures and any journaling.
More work to do...

Attemping to add video to blog

Okay, I am going to attempt to add a video of the studio. Wish me luck!

News at the studio

Oh my gosh! I got an email from my frined April about a scrapbook layout selling for $257 on ebay. So, I got right on it. I went to Craig List and posted my card kits and my school days albums for sale. I already got one email asking about the card kits. I am going to have to work on the pictures of these products. I asked hubbie to look into having gallery software but who knows where it is on his to do list.
I finished 3 6x6 birthday albums and got my order in from The Angel Company so got right on with making a friends album for April. Just order poly bags to put the pages in. I am going to sell them with or without an album that way if someone really likes the pages but would rather go find an album themselves they can. I am hoping that with the new catalog coming out which is being shipped at this moment. Ahhhhhhh! Anyways, I am hoping they will have some more color selections for the different album sizes. Well, gotta get back to scrappin! Workshops and craft fairs are coming up quick!

Another day, scrappin' away...

I had bunco here last night with some ladies from MOPS at the Tri Lakes Chapel. As usual, everyone was super impressed with the studio. It really is an awesome space for scrapbooking. I think I am spoiled. It just wouldn't be the same cropping anywhere else. Anyways, one of the ladies was interested in the Fireworks paper I have for sale and having me make a 4th of July album for her. I went ahead and made two of them today at the same time. Trying to work out the kinks in putting albums together for sale without taking tons of time. They came out awesome. I still have to put the hardware in them and then I will get some pictures done and up on the blog.
I am also looking into getting photo gallery software so I can have a whole album in a gallery that can be flipped through. Hubbie is looking into the details as I am not a computer genius by any means. Hopefully, I will be able to get a gallery going very soon.
I still have to tell you my formula for cranking out a theme album. I am a bit pooped so I will have to do it tomorrow. Hasta la pasta!

I am attempting to get into the swing of this blog stuff. Such a neat concept! I hope you will come back often and see what I have been up to.
I just made 2 mini 6x6 albums last night with the theme of school days. Each page is devoted to each grade from Pre-K to Senior in college. I am making them to sell at a craft fair I will be a vendor at on July 20th at Shreiver Air Force Base. I am going to have to make 2 for my kids school pictures.
I am just loving theme albums. When I started scrapbooking I just went straight into the chronological mode of doing an album for a year. But these smaller sized albums and having a theme make it very easy and quick to put together something that isn't bulky. You can take them in your purse and share wherever you go. I just love it!
I created a formula in designing these theme books. Come back tomorrow to read about my formula so you can try it for yourself.
